Government
A six-member elected Board of Commissioners governs Paulding County. Paulding County includes the cities of Dallas, Hiram, and Braswell (which is partially in Polk County). Each city has its own government led by an elected mayor and council. Several unincorporated communities are also found in Paulding County and are governed by the Paulding County Commission.

UTILITIES

Paulding County benefits from utility competition for electricity and natural gas. Georgia, one of the few states in the nation that allows competition between its electric power and natural gas suppliers, offers attractive rates on utilities to area businesses. The transmission and distribution systems throughout Paulding County provide for ample supply, high reliability, and overlapping service methods.
