Paulding County School System

Serving more than 25,500 students, Paulding County School System is experiencing a student poplulation increase of more than 1,400 students per year. The system currently has 17 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 4 high schools, an alternative school serving grades 6 - 12, a night school for students failing core subjects, and has a partnership with Chattahoochee Technical College.

Because of the explosive population growth in the county, the system is in the midst of a five-year facility plan that will result in 4 new elementary schools, 2 new middle schools, 1 new high school, performing arts centers at each of the high schools, auxilary gymnasiums at each of the high schools, and other related facilities. More than half of the county teachers hold a Master's degree or highter and, on average, have nearly 10 years of teaching experience. The student/teacher ratio is 14:1, providing plenty of room for students to receive individualized attention.

Paulding County Schools are on the cutting edge of technology. A state-of-the-art fiber optic infrastructure not found in most school districts or business allows the use of a voice-over-internet protocol phone system, allowing better communication between schools and parents. The fiber optic network connects each classroom and each office in the district, and more than 5,000 networked computer workstations provide an approximate one-to-four computer to student ratio.

All registration takes place at the local school and a parent or guardian must accompany the student to registration. Parents or guardians must reside in Paulding County in order to enroll their children in Paulding County.
